A 911 call moments before WWE legend Hulk Hogan’s death has been released. The wrestling icon passed away last year at the age of 71 on July 24 due to a reported cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.
This was followed by an investigation into the cause of his death with many theories spiraling. Popular radio personality Todd Clem, aka Bubba the Love Sponge, and Hogan’s daughter Brooke raised doubts around the circumstances of his passing.
However, on June 5, Florida police released a report after months of investigation and officially declared that The Hulkster died of natural causes, and no evidence of any criminal wrongdoing was found.
Now, audio from the 911 call placed during the former WWE Champion’s last moments has surfaced. The call reveals the dispatchers responding to a call from Hogan’s widow Sky Hogan.
According to audio obtained by Inside Edition, a panicked Sky can be heard desperately trying to save the 71-year-old’s life. Below is an excerpt from the audio.
Sky Daily – “My husband, it doesn’t seem like he’s breathing.”
911 – “Lay him flat on his back on the floor and remove anything from under his head.”
Sky – Oh my god. Yes. I am right here. He’s flat in a recliner. Sweetie? Sweetie? You’re here. Come on, baby. I don’t hear any breaths. Baby? Baby? Baby! Oh my god!”
There are other members of the family in the house when the call is made. Later, the dispatcher can be heard sending paramedics to the residence after receiving the emergency call. Hulk Hogan was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately couldn’t be saved.
Hulk Hogan’s daughter criticized the investigation process
In its 72-page report, the Clearwater Police Department revealed that Hulk Hogan died of natural causes and mentioned their investigation found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing.
They noted that the case is considered closed and thanked Hogan’s family for their cooperation during this time. However, Brooke Hogan, the WWE legend’s daughter, criticized the investigation process.
Speaking to TMZ, she said she was not satisfied with the investigation and blamed the police for inconsistencies from the beginning in the case. Brooke also said the police thanking her for her cooperation was a surprise because she felt like an outsider throughout the entire process.
